Navis is a leading developer and supplier of dynamic positioning and ship automation systems for the international marine industry.

Navis was founded in 1992 and is a privately-owned company.

Navis International Head Office is located in Helsinki, Finland, where the production is performed. The R&D site is based in St. Petersburg, Russia, which is one of Europe’s leading engineering and educational centers. Navis also maintains a growing network of service, technology and distribution partners around the world.

At present, Navis employs over 50 hardware and software engineers, product managers, technical support, QA, technical writing and marketing staff. Navis experts combine profound domain understanding with excellent technology skills and are fully dedicatedto meeting the needs of our clients. Continuing in the best traditions of the famous Russian Scientific and Engineering Schools, Navis employees hold university degrees in software engineering, electrical engineering, hydrodynamics, mechanics, and automated control systems amongst other technical areas. Nine experts have PhD’s and a number of our employees are full members of the Russian Academy of Navigation and Control.
