Aboa Mare receives the Nautical Institute accreditation

On April, 15 the Aboa Mare University of Applied Sciences, located in Turku (Finland), received the accreditation of the Nautical Institute as an official DP training centre.

In addition to the already existing simulation facilities and a sea safety training centre in Parainen, a DP bridge simulator has recently been installed. DP training is provided on basis of Navis NavDP4000 Trainer DP simulator. The DP training facility comprises the bridge with 3 visual channels and the DP classroom where all the trainees have their own DP stations.

Since 1813, Aboa Mare has been providing training for master mariners and watchkeepng engineers. Its facilities with 7 bridges make it the largest simulation center in Finland.
