Results of the first quarter

During the first quarter of 2007 Navis Ltd., part of the Navis Group of Companies, signed 10 contracts on integrated delivery of steering gears together with Navis AP3000 autopilots for such shipyards as Almaz Shipbuilding Factory, JSC, Almaz Shipbuilding Company, JSC, and Severnaya Verf, JSC, as well as for several Ukrainian shipyards.

Now, in Bulgaria, at the Dolphin shipyard, commissioning is being conducted of the Navis AP3000 autopilot and a steering gear, which are being installed on the diving vessel (yacht) of the project PV50.

It is worth mentioning new lines in the company’s research work. In particular, Navis’ specialists for the first time has succeeded in installing Navis AP3000 on a tug with two Rollce-Royce independent azimuth thrusters.

Also, not so long ago the development was started of a new steering gear control system on the basis of a new digital interface for the retrofit vessel Saint-Petersburg.
