Navis has joined CIRM

Last week Navis officially joined CIRM (International Association of Marine Electronics Companies).

The association was formed in 1928 in Spain. Now CIRM, whose members are 75 companies from 21 nations worldwide, promotes the application of electronic technology to the safety of life and efficient conduct of vessels at sea.

CIRM is one of the nine original international bodies accredited in 1949 as a non-governmental organisation in consultative status to the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Navis’ membership in CIRM will enable Navis to more closely interact with the world’S marine electronic companies, to obtain technical and industrial advice regarding the  international regulatory organisations, and to take part in to participate in the development of international regulations and standards.
